The original purpose of chair rail was to protect walls from being damaged by chair backs. Today, this molding is a fast way to stylishly define a dining room, living room or entry hall, especially when used to separate wallpaper from paint, or between two different colors of paint.

H&K Goodware Company will show you a plenty of chair rail moldings, with less wasted material. Chair rail is available in a variety of woods and styles, from inexpensive paint-grade pine to large, very expensive hardwood profiles. You can also make your own chair rail with standard trim or clear “1-by” material.

Chair rails have a decorative and practical function. Applied to a wall anywhere from 24 to 48 inches from the floor they are a beautiful accent to the room, running horizontally to form a wainscot look, while also protecting the wall from scuffs and dents from the backs of chairs.

Chair rail Molding can also be used as a Panel Molding to form panels on walls or ceilings. For larger Chair rails, use Casing with Back-bands. Chair rail molding is available in MDF, Ultra-lite (lightweight MDF), Finger joint Pine (wood) and Polyurethane. All Chair Rail Moldings come primed.

In H&K Goodware Company, we used chair rail molding here to give the wall a more royal feel. It looks like the molding has layering, making these large dining room feel cozy and rich.
