Methods for PU materials are as follows:
Method 1: Adding Fire Retardants
Currently, adding fire retardants is the most popular way to get a satisfied effect. It refers to adding a certain proportion of fire retardants in the production process of PU decorative materials. Common fire retardants include Halogenated phosphate, dimethyl methylphosphonate, melamine and so on. Some of them are added to liquid raw materials, and the others are added before or during foaming. In this way, the best fireproof effects can be realized.

These two fire retardants are frequently used by H&K Goodware:
1 Liquid fire retardant.
It is added to the PU material by mechanical mixing, which has a plasticizing effect. Unfortunately, it is easy to volatilize after a long-term use.
2 Powder fire retardant.
Added by mechanical mixing, this fire retardant can be well integrated with the raw materials. And then it makes our PU materials a little bit heavier but gives it permanent fire resistance.

Method 2: Spraying Fireproof Coatings on the Surface
We often spray fireproof coating on the surface of PU decorative materials Because these kind of coatings will exert an special effect on the surface, which could slow the fire spread. As a result, we could get a satisfied fireproof effect.

We all know that electrical fire is dangerous safety hazard, which is often caused by electrical short circuit, over load, aging of the circuit, and so on.
